Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Spokane Valley. This role will be responsible for managing benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and workforce planning. Responsibilities- Benefits Administration:
- Develop and implement group benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Serve as primary point of contact for vendors and third-party administrators.
- Coordinate data transfer and maintain administrative processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
- Employee Relations/Performance Management:
- Conduct workplace investigations and administer progressive discipline incidents.
- Assist management in providing feedback to employees and making recommendations for terminations when necessary.
- Manage OSHA complaints and investigations, LNI inquiries, and verifications of employment.
- Coordinate employee leave systems and ADA accommodations.
- Talent Acquisition/Recruiting:
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in pre-screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and checking references.
- Direct, manage, and motivate a team of recruiters and HR associates to deliver quality interview experiences.
- Leverage our workforce and ATS system to create reporting and team accountability.
- Workforce Planning:
- Identify gaps in existing employee rosters and make recommendations for changes in workforce needs.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements within the cannabis industry and Washington, Oregon, and Iowa labor laws.
- Payroll Verification:
- Ensure payroll is executed in a timely manner and verify inputs in the payroll system.
- Verify paid time off and paid sick leave for employees.
- Bachelor's degree in a business or human resource related field.
- 3 years of progressive experience in human resources.
- 2 years of experience supporting workforce needs across multiple locations and states.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local law, particularly in Washington and Oregon.
- Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Possess a keen attention to detail and demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
