Position Overview

The Project Manager will operate directly from the construction project site. This role involves overseeing projects from initial concepts through to final closeout. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver optimal solutions for design-build projects ranging from $20 million to over $200 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the project team and preconstruction services to develop a comprehensive Project Chart of Accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to create an effective project site logistics plan.
  • Support the Superintendent in managing subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract.
  • Oversee the processes for submittals, change orders, and payment requests.
  • Assist in generating project costs and preparing Job Cost Reports.
  • Contribute to the analysis and forecasting of quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
  • Monitor and document the training of all project personnel.
  • Track project labor requirements.
  • Report and manage equipment needs for the project.
  • Assist preconstruction services in the bidding process for projects.
  • Implement relevant safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs.
  • Participate in the quality assurance processes of the project.
  • Contribute to the scheduling and close-out processes of the project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in managing construction projects valued at $25 million or more, preferably in design-build.
  • Proven track record of project safety and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Experience in budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Previous experience leading a successful project management team.
  • Creative, results-driven, and possess a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and multi-floor scaffolding.
  • Capable of lifting objects weighing at least 50 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
