Position Overview

The Project Manager will operate on-site at construction projects. This role encompasses overseeing projects from initial concepts through to completion. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure optimal solutions for design-build projects ranging from $20 million to over $200 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the project team and preconstruction services to develop a comprehensive Project Chart of Accounts.
  • Work alongside the Project Superintendent to formulate a project site logistics plan.
  • Assist the Superintendent in managing subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the contractual agreements between Clayco and the client.
  • Oversee the processes for submittals, change orders, and payment requests.
  • Contribute to the generation of project costs and Job Cost Reports.
  • Participate in the analysis and forecasting of quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
  • Monitor and document the training of all personnel involved in the project.
  • Track project labor requirements.
  • Report and manage equipment needs for the project.
  • Support preconstruction services in the bidding process for projects.
  • Implement relevant safety, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Affirmative Action programs.
  • Engage in the quality assurance processes of the project.
  • Assist in scheduling and project close-out activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in managing construction projects valued at $25 million or more, preferably in design-build.
  • Proven track record of project safety and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Experience in project setup, budget planning, procurement, and cost reporting.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a successful project management team.
  • Creative, results-driven, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Physical capability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and multi-floor scaffolding.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
