Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the project team to effectively plan work schedules, allocate resources, achieve project milestones, and stay within budget limits.
  • Assess manpower and equipment requirements for environmental and earthwork initiatives, aiding in project timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and corporate safety protocols to uphold a secure work environment.
  • Interpret and relay project plans and specifications to the onsite personnel.
  • Supervise site activities, collaborating with the Project Manager to oversee daily construction operations, workforce, and machinery.
  • Engage in the recruitment and development of site staff to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Provide guidance in addressing site challenges, emergencies, and weather-related interruptions.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience in construction oversight.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience managing earthwork, soil, or environmental remediation projects.
  • Knowledge of heavy construction equipment selection and operation for earthwork activities.
  • Proven management abilities to mentor and support less experienced team members.
  • Expertise in project costing, scheduling, and reporting utilizing earned value management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, Primavera 6, and/or Groundworks software is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations, overseeing daily operations with periodic returns home.
