Overview:
The Human Capital Support team is looking to engage a contractor to assist with the operations of the Educator Effectiveness team within the Division of Human Capital.
This team is dedicated to enhancing the educator workforce in Tennessee, ultimately leading to improved student performance.
The Junior Project Coordinator will report to the Senior Director of Educator Effectiveness and will play a crucial role in supporting the team's initiatives.
Work Environment:
This role will primarily be performed remotely, with occasional in-person meetings required for team collaboration. Working hours are flexible within departmental guidelines, and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of procedures and guidelines for statewide initiatives, including educator recognition, student growth portfolios, strategic compensation, and educator evaluation.
- Engage with districts and charter schools across the state regarding these initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for continuous improvement, focusing on positive outcomes for educators and students.
Specific Duties:
- Provide technical support to the educator effectiveness team in analyzing, developing, and evaluating educational programs and services.
- Support processes and platforms related to the team's work, offering assistance via email or video calls for technical inquiries.
- Facilitate efficient operations associated with student growth portfolio models and the e-portfolio platform.
- Manage application processes and candidate selection for educator recognition initiatives.
- Assist in communications and operations related to strategic compensation and educator vacancy data collection.
- Analyze feedback survey reports for TEAM evaluation and deliver timely communication to stakeholders.
- Identify enhancements and troubleshoot issues for processes and platforms.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in education, business, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive in advancing projects both collaboratively and independently, with the ability to manage ambitious timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft 365.
- Experience in education and/or procurement is preferred.
