Scrum Master

At Albano Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in supporting and facilitating our Scrum teams in various functions, fostering Agile values and practices, and driving release readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate Scrum teams in various functions, fostering Agile values and practices.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to ensure backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.
  • Facilitate team creativity and improve efficiency.
  • Drive release readiness activities and associated tasks.
  • Coach teams to become more independent over time, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Inspect data to assess team performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize Rally to showcase data and resulting narrative.
  • Drive risk identification and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Ensure risks and issues are proactively communicated/escalated to appropriate levels.
  • Monitor the flow of work and coordinate within the team to determine optimal work intake and flow in delivery.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including Digital technology or project management fields.
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM).
  • Experience in the insurance industry preferred (P&C, API, Digital).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (SAFe, Scrum Kanban, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (Rally).
  • Deep knowledge of Agile techniques (User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test Driven development, Automated Testing, Burndown metrics, velocity).
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individuals with demonstrated ability to handle multiple high-priority demands, manage expectations, and achieve objectives.
  • Able to handle large scope and high complexity within Agile teams.
