Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IP Coordinator to join our Intellectual Property Department at Haynes and Boone. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the IP team, ensuring the smooth operation of our patent and trademark docketing and fee management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and reconcile USPTO fee charges and invoices from foreign counsel for expedited payment and prompt billing to clients.
  • Assist with basic docketing support on US and Foreign matters for Patent and Trademark in our PATTSY docket system.
  • Interface with attorneys and staff members within the Firm while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Provide administrative support to the IP team, including processing incoming mail and packages, scanning documents, and transmitting official documents to various offices as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with client guidelines and maintain up-to-date information on Financial Manager procedures.
Requirements
  • At least one year of IP records or docketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working within a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
  • A broad range of technical ability, with a demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new software/applications.

  • Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change quickly.
Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; two years of college is preferred.

Working Conditions

This is an office environment, and occasional additional hours beyond the normal schedule may be required to meet firm or client demands.
