Job Description:

Program Specialist VII Role Summary

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a highly skilled Program Specialist VII to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing large-scale initiatives and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve placement stabilization for children in conservatorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage large-scale initiatives, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  • Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and analyze project data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure relevant knowledge and expertise are applied to project initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and vendors to support program goals.
  • Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as public administration, social work, or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program area.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
