Position Overview:


In this role, you will provide expert guidance in specialized legal, regulatory, compliance, or technological areas. You will analyze and assess compliance systems, requirements, data, and processes, identify compliance risks, and assist in developing and implementing strategies to monitor and mitigate these risks. Additionally, you will deliver timely and effective training and remediation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead evaluations of external regulations and internal policies, documentation, processes, and data to identify trends, discrepancies, and risk factors. Assess potential noncompliance areas and highlight institutional vulnerabilities to audits by health oversight agencies and contractors.

Assist in managing the Compliance Risk Assessment program.

Evaluate and propose methods for monitoring compliance risks through data analysis and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of supporting tools such as metrics, dashboards, and reports.

Recommend and assist in the planning and design of focused review projects related to subject matter expertise.

Conduct subject matter reviews and analyses, assisting in the drafting, editing, and finalization of compliance reports.

Participate in planning and attend review meetings as appropriate.
Continuously enhance your legal, regulatory, and technical expertise in your areas of specialization. Stay informed about issues and changes that may impact the services provided by Vanderbilt Health.
Research and analyze inquiries from the Compliance team and other stakeholders. Provide education and guidance to clinical and administrative staff. Independently evaluate projects and deliver comprehensive reports/plans within the required timeframe.

Regulatory Compliance (Advanced): Possess a thorough understanding of relevant rules and regulations, applying them in complex situations. Capable of interpreting and clarifying ambiguous regulations and guiding others in their application.

Data Procurement (Advanced): Skilled in seeking, collecting, transforming, and ensuring data quality.
