Position Overview

The Senior Auditor of Warranty Expense Control is responsible for leading the team in the daily assessment of unusual warranty expense patterns and conducting dealer audits. This role involves managing both dealer self-audits and field audits for Honda and Acura. The position also includes training and developing staff to ensure all audits are performed ethically and professionally. You will collaborate with Zone Managers, Assistant Zone Managers, and District Managers to evaluate dealership warranty practices, address irregular claims, and implement strategies to enhance the accuracy and integrity of future claim submissions.

In this role, you will supervise a team of two (1 Internal Auditor, 1 Analyst) to plan, coordinate, and execute both in-house and field audits. You will ensure a comprehensive review of dealership warranty expense trends and manage debits as necessary while consulting with Zone Management.

Additionally, you will oversee the Archiving Certification Program (EAC) to enhance audit efficiency while maintaining the integrity of dealership warranty record management. You will also assist in defining business rules for warranty system enhancements, ensuring that inappropriate claims are rejected during the validation process to improve overall dealer claim accuracy and minimize debits during audit reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and completion of dealership self-audits and on-site National audits.
  • Lead special projects, including Remote National Audits.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Provide field training and support.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with AHM Service Operations.
  • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, audit processes, and warranty operations.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze data and manage complex databases.
  • Skilled in reviewing financial statements and warranty claims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop staff and collaborate effectively within the department and across the division.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from dealerships, field associates, managers, and executive management.
