Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all facets of accounting including billing, financial statements, general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and inventory accounting.
  2. Ensure that all financial details adhere to legal standards while supervising staff responsible for bookkeeping.
  3. Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports detailing revenue fluctuations, operational costs, and other expenditures.
  4. Analyze financial data to influence business strategies, recommend cost-reduction measures, and enhance financial performance.
  5. Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls to ensure compliance with federal regulations and professional standards.
  6. Supervise inventory management processes, ensuring accurate counts and valuations while addressing discrepancies in coordination with the operations team.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role is essential.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with software system implementation is advantageous.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  5. Demonstrated experience with financial and accounting processes, including inventory management.
  6. Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.
  8. Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  9. High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential information.
