Key Responsibilities
  • Review and post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage tenant receipts and revenue transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and prepare monthly allowance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure expenditures are correctly expensed or capitalized in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare journal entries for property acquisitions and debt acquisitions, ensuring accurate financial representation.
  • Manage journal entries for related activities, including draw requests and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for properties and perform variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Yardi software is highly preferred.
