Position Overview:

Clark College is on the lookout for part-time Clinical Nursing Instructors to contribute to our Associate Degree Program. The primary focus will be on in-person clinical and skills lab courses. This ongoing recruitment allows us to gather applications throughout the year, with positions filled based on program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instruction using effective teaching strategies that enhance student learning.
  • Utilize technology for educational purposes and maintain compliance with program standards.
  • Uphold curriculum standards within the department.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Engage in departmental and college-wide committees and decision-making processes.
  • Participate in activities that support the teaching and learning environment.
  • Continuously seek to improve instructional techniques and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Work effectively with individuals from various academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Qualifications:


Master's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with enrollment in a Master's in Nursing program, or a Master's degree in a related health or education field.

Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.

Current RN licensure in Oregon and Washington (or the ability to obtain it by the time of hire).

Conditions of Employment:

A background check will be conducted prior to hiring. This includes a review of criminal history, which will be considered in assessing the applicant's suitability for the position. Verification of academic credentials will also be required.

Upon hire, compliance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) requirements for a Vocational Certification plan is mandatory before the first day of classes.
