Clark College is seeking a part-time faculty member for the English department within the BEECH (Basic Education, English, Communications and Humanities) unit. Key Responsibilities

FACULTY DUTIES:

  • Stay updated in the field of English
  • Enhance skills through ongoing professional development
  • Deliver assigned courses/labs while incorporating departmental learning outcomes
  • Implement effective assessment methods to gauge student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Show respect and understanding towards all individuals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet educational objectives
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
  • Employ appropriate technology for instruction and communication
  • Understand the mission of the College and its diverse student population
  • Uphold curriculum standards within the department
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree or higher in English or a related field
  • Experience teaching composition at the postsecondary level
  • Ability to connect with individuals from a variety of academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Additional Information

Compensation: Lecture rate of $90.47 per hour
