Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of various fire suppression systems including wet, dry, and pre-action types.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide service for wet-based fire sprinkler systems.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinkler systems in both commercial and residential settings.
  • Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure alarm systems meet code requirements.
  • Document detailed inspection reports, noting any issues and results of completed work accurately and promptly.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect and care for the service vehicle and associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles safely, facilitating efficient loading and unloading.
  • Adhere to safety protocols as outlined by company procedures, including personal protective equipment and driver safety.
  • Respond to emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Follow directions and work independently when required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively and independently.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility with scheduling is essential, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Knowledge of fire safety principles and practices is required.
  • Familiarity with codes and regulations pertinent to the role.
  • Ability to review official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Capability to lead and supervise when necessary.
  • Skill in identifying and reporting discrepancies through inspection processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Experience with small/light equipment repair, including power tools and ladders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks, along with occasional lifting of heavy objects.
  • Physical abilities needed include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
