Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler systems and equipment in strict compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in both commercial and residential properties.
  • Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure alarms are installed in accordance with regulations.
  • Complete thorough inspection reports, documenting any findings and reporting results accurately and promptly.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain the service vehicle and all associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, to facilitate the loading and unloading of the service vehicle while adhering to all safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective equipment usage.
  • Respond to emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility with scheduling is required, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Knowledge of fire safety principles and practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations is necessary.
  • Ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Capability to act in a leadership role when necessary.
  • Ability to identify and report discrepancies through inspection processes.
  • Skill in interpreting, applying, and explaining applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Experience with small/light equipment, including power tools and ladders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands or arms, and occasionally lift or move heavy items.
  • This role requires various physical abilities, including balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
