As a Sprinkler Technician, you will focus on the installation and repair of fire protection systems, including sprinkler and hose systems, fire mains, underground systems, and closed valves. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and testing systems, repairing defective or worn components, and conducting inspections and testing in accordance with National Fire Protection Association standards for both existing and new installations. You will be instrumental in creating, maintaining, inspecting, and modifying sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and other necessary environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine appropriate pipe sizes and materials, measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading, assemble and secure pipes, and shut down existing systems to facilitate new installations.
  • Service and troubleshoot both wet and dry fire sprinkler systems, including fire pump systems and backflows, performing repairs and internal inspections as needed.
  • Prepare layout drawings for comprehensive piping systems, and cut and bore holes in pipes according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Clean and modify existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize practical engineering knowledge to address issues effectively.
  • Apply knowledge of NFPA codes and plumbing standards in all tasks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Backflow License is preferred.
  • NICET certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Consent to background screening upon hire.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving equipment over 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
