Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler suppression systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in both commercial and residential properties.
  • Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that alarms are installed per code requirements.
  • Complete thorough inspection reports, documenting any findings and communicating results in a timely manner.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain the service vehicle and all associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, to facilitate the loading and unloading of materials while adhering to all safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Follow directions and work independently when required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working in a team as well as independently.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility with scheduling is essential, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Knowledge of fire safety principles and practices is required.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations is necessary.
  • Ability to review official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Capability to lead and recognize deviations through inspection processes.
  • Ability to interpret and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Competence in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Experience using or repairing small/light equipment, such as power tools and ladders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift or move heavy objects.
  • The role also necessitates physical abilities such as balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
