As a Sprinkler Technician, you will focus on the installation and repair of fire protection systems, including sprinkler and hose systems, fire mains, underground systems, and closed valves. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and testing systems, repairing defective or worn components, and conducting inspections and tests in accordance with National Fire Protection Association standards for both existing and new installations. You will be involved in creating, maintaining, inspecting, and modifying sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and other necessary settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine appropriate pipe sizes and materials, measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading, assemble and secure pipes, and turn off existing systems to install new pipes.
  • Service and troubleshoot wet/dry systems, fire pump-based sprinkler systems, and backflows, including repairs and internal inspections.
  • Prepare layout drawings for comprehensive piping systems, and cut and bore holes in pipes according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Clean and modify existing sprinkler systems.
  • Troubleshoot various system issues.
  • Apply knowledge of practical engineering applications.
  • Utilize knowledge of NFPA codes and plumbing standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Backflow License preferred.
  • NICET certification is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Consent to background screening upon hire.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving equipment over 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
