Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of various fire suppression systems, including wet, dry, and pre-action types.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler systems and equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems effectively.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinkler systems in both commercial and residential properties.
  • Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that alarms are installed according to regulations.
  • Complete thorough inspection reports, documenting any findings and reporting the results of work performed accurately and promptly.
  • Safeguard and maintain company tools and equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain the service vehicle and all associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse machinery, including vehicles, to facilitate the loading and unloading process while adhering to all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety guidelines, including driver safety and personal protective equipment usage.
  • Respond to emergency service requests as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Follow directions and work independently when necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from job sites are required.
  • Flexibility with scheduling is necessary, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Knowledge of fire safety principles and practices is required.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations is essential.
  • Ability to review official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Capability to lead and supervise as needed.
  • Skill in identifying and reporting discrepancies through inspection processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Competence in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Experience in using or repairing small/light equipment, such as power tools and ladders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift or move heavy objects.
  • The position also demands physical abilities such as balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
