Job Summary

This position is a critical member of the echocardiography laboratory team, responsible for performing and acquiring normal to complex congenital cardiac ultrasound studies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of congenital cardiac abnormalities, cardiac pathology, and cardiac hemodynamic principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies on patients of all ages and across various hospital environments.
  • Participate in training of echocardiography learners and contribute to the development of new staff members.
  • Utilize previous imaging and medical data to provide comprehensive understanding of patient conditions and aid in diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on equipment, procedures performed, and billing.
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment functionality.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
  • Two years of congenital cardiac sonography experience and progressively responsible work experience.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent certification.
