Join our esteemed team at Stanford Health Care as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through advanced diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for conducting sonographic examinations on patients under the supervision of a qualified physician. Your expertise will aid in gathering essential medical data for accurate diagnoses. You will ensure that ultrasound equipment is consistently operational and ready for immediate use, while maintaining comprehensive records of procedures performed.
What You Will Do:
- Document observations during procedures for physician interpretation and obtain necessary diagnostic images.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, reporting any issues to the Lead Technician.
- Explain the examination process to patients, providing guidance and support throughout the procedure.
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound machinery, producing and processing high-quality images for review.
- Participate in research initiatives and evaluate new equipment for potential departmental use.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure proper handling and cleaning of equipment.
- Review patient medical histories and utilize electronic systems for comparison and documentation.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
- BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
- RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
