Senior Cardiac Sonographer

This role is responsible for performing and acquiring normal to complex congenital cardiac ultrasound studies under the direction of echocardiography laboratory leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies on assigned patients of all ages and across all hospital environments.
- Participate in training of echocardiography learners and utilize previous imaging and other medical data to allow for comprehensive understanding of a patient's condition.
- Ensure that equipment is functional and maintained for immediate use and participate in outreach clinics, weekend, holiday coverage, and on-call services as assigned.
- Maintain records and reports on equipment, procedures performed, and billing.
- Successful completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program and two years of congenital cardiac sonography experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Pediatric Echocardiography (PE), and Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions, communicate effectively, and establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups.
