Position Overview:

We are in search of an AI Solutions Engineer who will be responsible for architecting and developing software applications that leverage AI-driven capabilities for mission-critical tasks. This role involves creating applications that utilize various models in vision, language, and other domains, specifically tailored for designated hardware and operational scenarios to enhance mission effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop AI-driven applications that support significant mission objectives.
  • Create frameworks for monitoring, testing, and evaluating the performance of AI applications.
  • Design application architectures that maximize efficiency while adhering to constraints related to power, thermal management, and hardware specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a creative, experimental, and unified work environment.
Travel Requirements: 5-15%

Work Environment: Hybrid model with in-office presence in Phoenix, Arizona three days a week.

The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and additional tasks may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We are looking for a versatile individual who can adapt and embrace new challenges as they arise.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing applications for embedded systems in environments such as Linux and Android.
  • Familiarity with large language model (LLM) application frameworks and components, including vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and conversational interfaces.
  • Experience with model inference APIs on GPUs and specialized hardware.
  • Knowledge of fine-tuning models for specific applications, such as query optimization and providing specialized assistance.
  • A passion for personal and team growth through technical mentorship, and an enthusiasm for learning new technologies while navigating ambiguity.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in developing applications that integrate AI APIs into intelligent agents.
  • Experience with multimodal AI models.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and automation of infrastructure.

Compensation packages are determined based on candidate experience, with salary ranges established using national benchmarking data applicable across all locations in the United States.

Salary range: $165,000-$196,749 USD
