Position Overview:

We are looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to architect and develop software applications that facilitate AI-driven operational capabilities. In this role, you will create applications that leverage visual, linguistic, and other models tailored for specific hardware and use cases to enhance mission effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop AI-driven applications that support critical operational scenarios.
  • Create monitoring, testing, and benchmarking frameworks for your AI solutions.
  • Design application patterns that maximize performance while considering power, thermal, and other hardware limitations.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a creative, experimental, and cohesive work environment.
Travel Requirements: 5-15%

Work Environment: Hybrid model with three days in the office in Phoenix, Arizona.

The responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We seek a proactive individual who can adapt and embrace new challenges as they arise.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a background in developing applications for embedded systems in Linux or Android.
  • Familiarity with LLM application patterns and components such as vector databases, vector embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and conversational interfaces.
  • Experience utilizing model inference APIs on GPUs and other specialized hardware.
  • Knowledge of fine-tuning models for specific tasks, including query optimization and specialized assistance.
  • A passion for personal growth and mentoring others, along with a critical thinking mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience in developing applications that integrate AI APIs into intelligent agents.
  • Experience with multimodal AI models.
  • Proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure automation.

Compensation packages are determined based on candidate experience, with ranges established using national benchmarking data applicable across all geographic locations within the United States.
