Key Responsibilities:

Role Overview:

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee all front desk operations, some staff management, and inventory control. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment that aligns with the organization's culture and enhances member engagement. If you enjoy being part of a club culture that prioritizes exceptional experiences, this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the hiring process and onboarding of new team members.
  • Managing team schedules to ensure all shifts are adequately covered, providing backup support as necessary.
  • Overseeing the Black Card Spa and managing inventory for club supplies and retail products.
  • Assessing and assisting in emergency situations.
  • Modeling behaviors that promote outstanding member experiences; coaching and inspiring others to maintain professionalism.
  • Managing team member performance through regular feedback.
  • Addressing employee concerns in partnership with HR as needed.
  • Timely submission of all employee changes (status, schedule, pay, etc.).
Daily Duties:

Daily tasks for the Operations Manager will also encompass:
  • Welcoming members and guests as they enter and exit the club, assisting with any inquiries.
  • Promoting our Judgement Free Zone by engaging with members on the club floor, offering support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
  • Resolving escalated member concerns and collaborating with the Regional Manager when necessary.
  • Answering phone calls in a friendly manner and assisting callers with their inquiries.
  • Handling membership-related functions such as sign-ups, updates to contact/billing information, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
  • Conducting prospective member calls and tours to assess their membership needs.
  • Executing retail transactions accurately and driving sales goals.
  • Ensuring regular cleaning and sanitizing of all exercise equipment and spa amenities, including communal spaces and assigned areas.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms by adhering to the routine cleaning schedule.
  • Performing comprehensive walkthroughs of all club areas to promptly address safety and cleanliness concerns.
  • Addressing maintenance and facility issues, such as broken or missing equipment, by communicating with the Facilities Maintenance team.
  • Creating cleaning and sanitizing assignments for team members and following up on quality and completion.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in supervising and leading a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
Physical Demands:
  • Continuous standing and movement throughout the club to complete tasks during shifts.
  • Regular communication in person or over the phone to exchange information.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Exposure to toxic chemicals during shifts.
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to bend and twist to accomplish tasks.
