Job Summary: Member Services Representative

The Member Services Representative (MSR) role at Planet Fitness is more than just a position; it is a chance for personal growth, leadership development, and career advancement while contributing to an uplifting environment. Our MSRs are the cornerstone of our success, responsible for fostering and maintaining the unique atmosphere that distinguishes Planet Fitness in the fitness sector. In this role, you will gain valuable skills applicable to any future career, develop lasting relationships, and have the opportunity to grow within the company. We believe in promoting from within, and many of our managers began their careers in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Welcome members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Uphold the Judgement Free Zone principles.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor and be courteous at all times.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
    • Answering phone calls in a friendly manner and assisting with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
    • Guiding prospective members on tours.
    • Assisting members with downloading the PF Mobile App.
  • Update member accounts as necessary.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when needed.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Promote sales of tanning products and memberships.
  • Build connections within the community.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Preferred background in customer service.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • CPR Certification (AED/First Aid/CPR) is required.
Physical Demands:
  • Regular standing and walking during shifts.
  • Frequent communication in person or over the phone.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour
