About the Role

Gensler's brand design team is a dynamic and innovative group that shapes the way people experience their world. As a Design Manager - Client Relationship Leader, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with clients to deliver design solutions that exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective design results by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Oversee project management and development, ensuring client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams, providing exceptional communication and project coordination.
  • Manage multiple project teams, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and work plans, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
  • Monitor project financial performance, providing regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and strategic business growth initiatives, collaborating with internal teams to identify new business opportunities.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including designers, project managers, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate between studios, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage project staffing and hours, ensuring optimal resource allocation and productivity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a design agency, consultancy, or related field, with 5+ years of leadership experience and project management.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience and impact as a design manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and relationship management skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and priorities.
  • Experience in marketing, writing, and delivering proposals for project work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methods.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable in internal and external client-facing situations.

Compensation and Benefits

Gensler offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $95,000 - $130,000 annually, plus bonuses and benefits. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off. Additionally, we offer a 401k, profit sharing, employee stock ownership, and twice-annual bonus opportunities.
