Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to drive growth and revenue for our Traction Division. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive growth and revenue for our Traction Division
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and improve market penetration

  • Create a unified 3-5 year key account strategy based on the strategic goals of the customer and market knowledge
  • Develop new customers and OEM key interface to customers and End Users
  • Bid & Offer Management - Technical and commercial bid preparation for traction power electronics proposals
  • Represent ABB in industry associations, conferences, trade shows and industry networking events
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 5-7 years Key Account Management Sales and related management experience with a track record of successful performance
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience
  • Railway market knowledge and technical understanding of power control systems
  • Negotiation skills and Strategic thinking
  • Business development experience, rail industry preferred
  • Innovative sales approaches and proven in seeking and demand creation in competitive markets
  • Able to deal with complex topics within international cross functional teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen and interpret real customer needs
  • Ability to travel in USA, Canada and Internationally on a regular basis
