AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position is associated with a franchised business location, and specific job duties and benefits may vary between franchises.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Patient Care Representative who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Our team is committed to supporting one another, and we seek a new member who shares our passion for meaningful patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely check-in of patients, ensuring adherence to Web Check-in procedures.
  • Answering clinic phone calls and providing information or directing inquiries as necessary.
  • Accurate and timely verification of insurance information.
  • Following occupational client preference cards and procedures.
  • Reviewing patient paperwork for completeness and collecting necessary insurance and demographic information.
  • Completing a Daily Balance Checklist after each shift to ensure all payment forms are accounted for.
  • Maintaining and updating patient records as needed.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized reception area.
  • Cross-training for other positions as required.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned.
Schedule:

Flexibility is essential, as workdays may vary. Availability is required seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is desirable.
