AFC operates through a network of franchised locations, and this role is integral to one of those businesses. The specific responsibilities and benefits may differ across franchises.

Position Summary and Requirements

We are in search of a Patient Care Representative who excels in delivering exceptional patient support and embodies a commitment to quality care. Our team thrives on collaboration and is eager to welcome a dedicated individual who shares our passion for meaningful patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently check-in patients, ensuring adherence to all Web Check-in protocols.
  • Handle incoming calls to the clinic, providing information or directing inquiries as necessary.
  • Timely and accurately verify patient insurance information.
  • Follow the occupational client's preference card and related procedures diligently.
  • Review patient documentation for completeness and ensure collection of necessary insurance and demographic data.
  • Complete the Daily Balance Checklist post-shift, ensuring all payment forms are accounted for and documented.
  • Maintain and update patient records as required.
  • Assist with various administrative duties, including filing, faxing, and scanning.
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean and organized.
  • Participate in cross-training for other roles as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Schedule:

Flexibility is essential, as workdays may vary. Availability is required seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in a clinical patient care environment.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar capacity is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
