Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Team Supervisor I is responsible for providing technical and procedural guidance to a group of team members. This role assists the Operations Leader and Group Supervisor II in delegating daily tasks, achieving team objectives, and monitoring performance metrics. The position fosters an environment focused on efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the assignment of trainers for onboarding and cross-training initiatives.
  • Executes daily production tasks as directed by the Operations Leader and/or Group Supervisor II.
  • Acts as a backup for the Operations Leader and/or Group Supervisor II when necessary.
  • Encourages team problem-solving and leads team meetings.
  • May oversee one or more work centers within a production team area as directed by the Operations Leader.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Team Information Board (T.I.B.), conducting Kamishibai Audits, 5S audits, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Standard Work Audits, and Safety Audits as assigned.
  • Collaborates with planners, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering to implement changes aimed at reducing errors, enhancing throughput, and meeting customer deadlines.
  • Ensures the team meets its goals and follows up on action items and requests, including material availability when applicable.
  • Reviews discrepancies, implements corrective actions, and provides constructive feedback to the team, ensuring follow-through on corrective measures.
  • Participates in potential new hire interviews as required.

  • Actively seeks lean solutions to enhance efficiency and workflow.
  • Assists with Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) activities as needed.

Developmental Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the skill levels of individuals within their area of responsibility.
  • Provides input for performance reviews and development planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year as an AA TECH employee.
  • External candidates should have 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available for overtime as necessary.

Additional Information:

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, team members are required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating machinery, and specific vision abilities include close vision. Regular attendance and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others are expected. Team members may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
