We are currently seeking a seasoned and people-oriented Manufacturing Supervisor for our 2nd shift operations. This role will be pivotal in establishing and upholding a team-focused environment that prioritizes People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee team member engagement, safety protocols, quality assurance, production schedule fulfillment, and operational efficiency, supervising approximately 8 Team Leads and 40 Direct Labor Teammates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily supervision of staff, focusing on optimizing resources (manpower, methods, materials, and machinery) to achieve the daily production targets and fulfill customer delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, and supply chain, to resolve any quality-related challenges that may arise.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's quality standards and specifications throughout all production processes, including understanding and implementing product requirements and quality benchmarks.
  • Administer and adhere to all company goals, plans, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices, ensuring they comprehend their role in upholding product quality.
  • Encourage and implement continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing data and feedback to identify areas for enhancement in the production process.
  • Guarantee the safety of all employees by enforcing the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and actively supporting safety policies established by the company and OSHA.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completion of mold changes, first piece inspections, last shots, production reporting, process verifications, training documentation, and operator work instructions.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the workplace to promote a safe and hazard-free environment through the implementation of 5S methodologies.
  • Focus on Lean principles and their implementation.

Required Skills

Experience

  1. Relevant Experience: 3-5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  2. Knowledge of Production Processes: Familiarity with production techniques, machinery, and workflow optimization.

Knowledge

  1. Safety Regulations: Understanding of OSHA or other pertinent safety standards and practices.
  2. Quality Control: Acquainted with quality assurance processes and standards.
  3. Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
