About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Management Leader to join our Amazon Payment Products team in Seattle. As a leader of technical program managers, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical program managers, engineering teams, product management teams, and business teams to lead them towards launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technical program managers to identify and implement critical programs
  • Develop and execute launch strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with leadership to communicate status, risks, plans, and changes in launch strategy
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing technical teams
  • Demonstrated experience hiring and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science/Math or related field
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise, prior experience as a software developer
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies, deep understanding of software development in large teams, and a track record of shipping software on time
  • Experience managing teams of 6+ people
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
