Position Overview:
The Procurement division is dedicated to ensuring that CSI Electrical Contractors maintains a competitive edge in the Utility Scale PV Market.

It is essential to guarantee that high-quality materials and equipment are accessible to the construction teams precisely when and where they are needed, all while adhering to the overarching organizational policies and requirements.

The Renewable Energy Procurement Lead will oversee procurement initiatives related to photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) materials, equipment, and solutions. This role is pivotal in establishing systems and processes that align with organizational goals and foster continuous improvement. The Procurement Lead will structure the team based on their defined roles and expertise.

They will mentor and nurture their team to cultivate and sustain equitable relationships with suppliers and vendors, aiming to secure the most competitive pricing in the market. A strategic approach will be developed to position CSI Electrical Contractors advantageously within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and maintain effective systems and processes within the procurement team, ensuring ongoing enhancement.

2. Collect and analyze market and industry data to equip the organization with the latest competitive pricing insights.

3. Monitor and enhance the overall performance of the procurement team in alignment with CSI policies and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

4. Conduct quarterly Commodity Reviews to identify significant market and vendor opportunities and challenges.

5. Collaborate with Site Buyers to maintain Vendor Scorecards, providing feedback from our supplier network on key components.

6. Foster the growth and development of the procurement team to enhance overall organizational capacity.

7. Oversee the qualification and selection of suppliers, focusing on performance improvement.


8. Lead a team of purchasing agents and buyers in establishing relationships, negotiating, evaluating, conducting interviews, and managing supplier and vendor contracts.


9. Monitor procurement activities, product delivery, and the alignment of these products with CSI's engineering and construction methodologies.

10. Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers to acquire goods, services, and supplies.

11. Take charge of overall purchasing and strategic initiatives to enhance competitive positioning.


12. Collaborate with project teams to understand the performance of equipment and materials in relation to our construction methods.

The manager will identify which equipment and materials provide a competitive and strategic advantage.

13. Work with the legal team to formulate contracts that are suitable for the industry, risk profile, and competitive landscape.


14. Address defects and delivery issues with suppliers, negotiating outcomes that yield optimal results for CSI and the supplier's long-term viability.

15. Coordinate with operations, project teams, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.

16. Maintain supplier performance KPIs and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

17. Partner with the Logistics Manager to ensure appropriate inventory levels and the effective use of surplus materials.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

- Experience with Viewpoint is preferred.

- Skilled in developing and adhering to procurement procedures and plans.

- Excellent negotiation and team-building capabilities.

- Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- 10+ years of experience in Procurement.

- 5+ years of experience in Solar and Renewable Energy.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.

- Competitive Salary: $120,000-$150,000 / year, commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Salary ranges are provided in good faith, and MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
