Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with commercial and utility-scale solar installations, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar energy systems, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
  • Oversee and mentor apprentice electricians and colleagues, promoting safe practices and effective tool usage.
  • Identify safety risks and adhere to established safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the public.
  • Interpret technical documentation, including manuals and blueprints, to apply knowledge effectively in daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities, including work orders and calibration sheets, to document progress and completion.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient understanding of electrical principles, including voltage and current relationships in both AC and DC circuits.
  • Familiarity with Solar PV systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to meet training and testing requirements for the position.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working at heights for extended periods.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to varying schedules, including on-call support.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $50 to $53, with overtime compensation at 1.5x.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Sign-on bonus of $5000.
  • Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
