About the Role

Gentle Dental is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our team. As a Business Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Directly supervise the office team, including selection, training, and monitoring of non-clinical team members.
    • Ensure team members comply with licensing and training requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Evaluate and review office production and procedures to develop new ways to improve efficiency.
    • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, cash control, and payroll preparation.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service.
    • Collect payments from patients on any amount that may be owed, including current treatment being performed as well as past due balances.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Review production reports and communicate results with the team to ensure the office's budget is met or exceeded every month.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Act as a backup to the front office team, scheduling and confirming appointments, answering the telephone, and assisting with patient questions.
    • Address patient complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
    • Recruitment, retention, and termination of staff, working with HR to assess, investigate, and resolve employee issues.
    Requirements
    • Previous dental or healthcare management experience preferred but not required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Computer literate, with QSI/Denticon experience a plus.
