Position Overview
Role Summary:
We are in search of an experienced Chief Operations Executive (COO) to lead our organization's ongoing operations and procedures. This role is vital to our senior management team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The COO will be responsible for maintaining control over various business operations, requiring a skilled and efficient leader with strong interpersonal abilities, business insight, and a solid work ethic.
The primary objective of the COO position is to ensure the operational effectiveness of the organization to foster significant and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As our COO, your main duties will include:
- Formulating and executing business strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Setting comprehensive performance and growth objectives.
- Establishing policies that reflect the company culture and vision.
- Overseeing daily company operations and the work of executives.
- Leading employees to promote maximum performance and commitment.
- Assessing performance through data analysis and metrics interpretation.
- Preparing and submitting reports to the CEO on critical matters.
- Engaging in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, partnerships, etc.)
- Managing relationships with partners and vendors.
- Assisting the CEO in fundraising efforts.
- Implementing and managing operational budgets while monitoring cost efficiency.
- Mitigating risks within the organization.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience as a Chief Operations Executive or in a similar role.
- Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and business development.
- Experience in managing business operations, personnel, and projects.
- Knowledge of various business functions and principles (e.g., supply chain, finance, customer service).
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking abilities.
- Capability in decision-making and problem-solving.
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or a related field; MSc/MBA is advantageous.
- Experience in process improvement and operations management.
- Familiarity with budgeting and risk management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Ability to inspire confidence and build trust.
- Capacity to develop and implement operational policies and strategic plans.
