Position Title: Regional Services Administrator (RSA), Columbus, GA - Region 6

Overview: Under the general oversight of the Director of Field Operations for Developmental Disabilities (DD), the Regional Services Administrator (RSA) is responsible for guiding a team of professionals dedicated to linking individuals with developmental disabilities to tailored, community-based supports and services. The RSA plays a crucial role in monitoring the service provider network to ensure service quality and the availability of necessary resources for safe support of individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the regional system for authorizing and accessing state and Medicaid waiver funded DD services.
  • Lead the regional office staff in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Evaluate the performance of direct reports and maintain an understanding of overall team effectiveness.
  • Address customer service issues, crises, and concerns from community partners promptly; escalate matters to the Director of Field Operations or relevant state office staff as needed.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with other offices within the Division of DD.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Nurse Manager and Regional Behavior Analyst to enhance support for individuals and providers.
  • Assist in developing consistent statewide procedures and supervise regional teams to ensure uniformity.
  • Represent DBHDD and the Division of DD in meetings and collaborations with local and state agencies, providers, and national accrediting organizations.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with community hospitals, law enforcement, and social service agencies.
  • Assess the quality and adequacy of the DD provider network in the region, identify service gaps, and work to broaden choices for individuals.
  • Support provider compliance with standards for community developmental disability providers and all requirements of the New Options and/or Comprehensive Waiver.
  • Oversee regional DD provider contracts.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Behavioral Health RSA on services for individuals and regional operational matters.
  • Assist the Regional Advisory Council in developing the annual regional plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three years of management experience in a healthcare services environment OR a Master's degree in a related field and two years of management experience OR a Doctorate degree in a related field and one year of management experience OR two years at a lower level or equivalent position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in behavioral sciences or a related field; at least five years in IDD services; five years managing performance in BH/IDD services. Experience in leading diverse teams, implementing change with minimal disruption, and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Expertise in management, planning, and design of effective community-based waiver programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in contract development, negotiation, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Strong skills in budget development and management; consultation; resource allocation; and strategic/operational planning.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.

Note:

This position is located in the DBHDD Region 6 Field Office. The selected candidate will be required to be in the office 3 to 5 days per week and may have occasional travel to other regions.
