Leasing Specialist

Summary/Objective
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for marketing, leasing, and maintaining client relations within the multi-family apartment community. Key responsibilities include conducting resident screening, collecting deposits and rents, and providing superior customer service to current and prospective tenants.
Essential Functions

- Financial:
- Process resident applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and meets company qualifications.
- Collect deposits, rents, and issue receipts as necessary.
- Resident Relations/Services:
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective tenants.
- Resolve resident complaints, answer resident questions, and monitor the resolution of problems.
- Accept service requests from current residents and coordinate completion with Maintenance staff.
- Marketing:
- Assist with property marketing activities.
- Work with colleagues and Property Manager to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.
- Professionally show all available amenities, model apartment(s), and available apartments.
- Administrative:
- Immediately process resident applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and meets company qualifications.
- Prepare all leases/move-in packets for new residents in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure the entire office environment is professional, clean, well-organized, and meets all safety standards at all times.
- Accurately maintain prospect, traffic, and rental record logs and all pertinent leasing data.
- Maintain thorough and accurate product knowledge of the community and that of the major competitors.
- Update required reports concerning move-out notices, activity, etc., on a daily basis and provide information to the property manager.
- Organize and file all applicable reports, leases, and paperwork.
- Proofread all lease paperwork and process move-ins and move-outs.
