Assistant Right of Way Specialist

The Assistant Right of Way Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating land acquisitions, negotiations, property research, titles, and surveys. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in analyzing, preparing, reviewing, and interpreting land and right of way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
- Conduct research and collect real property related project documents.
- Translate data from right of way documents into the stakeholder management database.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries from right of way field agents.
- Compile technical data to be presented to right of way project teams.
- Prepare permit applications for the project team.
- Prepare project status, technical, and acquisition reports for the project team.
- Assist project teams with document preparation and control, meeting agendas, and other various project-related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited program.
- Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general real estate law and real estate title work preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
This position requires frequent travel (75% of the time) and may involve working in a variety of locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
