Job Summary

The Assistant Right of Way Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating land acquisitions, negotiations, property research, titles, and surveys. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in analyzing, preparing, reviewing, and interpreting land and right of way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
  • Conduct research and collect real property related project documents.
  • Translate data from right of way documents into the stakeholder management database.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries from right of way field agents.
  • Compile technical data to be presented to right of way project teams.
  • Prepare permit applications for the project team.
  • Prepare project status, technical, and acquisition reports for the project team.
  • Assist project teams with document preparation and control, meeting agendas, and other various project-related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited program.
  • Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of general real estate law and real estate title work preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel (75% of the time) and may involve working in a variety of locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
