Job Title: Prototype Assembly Technician

Job Overview

The Prototype Assembly Technician is tasked with executing build documentation, extracting components from the build platform, cleaning prototype models, and placing them in a UV curing oven.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Extract components from the build platform.
  2. Efficiently drain and spin parts.
  3. Clean and cure components.
  4. Conduct visual inspections on operational printers.
  5. Remove the platform from the machine upon completion of the build.
  6. Complete all necessary build documentation.
  7. Prepare the printer for subsequent builds.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.

Safety Protocols

Adherence to all safety standards and regulations is mandatory. All injuries must be reported to a supervisor and Human Resources within 24 hours. Personal protective equipment must be utilized as required by the role.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to carefully hand wash small components using various hand tools.
  • Moderate physical activity is necessary, including handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

This position necessitates the ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours daily. Manual dexterity is required to operate standard manufacturing machinery and hand tools. Clear communication in English is essential for conveying information accurately, and the ability to hear at normal speaking levels is necessary. Visual acuity is required to read work instructions, gauges, and monitors essential for completing daily tasks. Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds is expected.
