As a vital member of our organization, the Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional administrative assistance to patients, colleagues, and stakeholders, in alignment with our commitment to patient-centered care. This position is responsible for nurturing strong connections between the clinic and its clientele, including patients, staff, funders, and referral sources. This is accomplished by efficiently providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activities with a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver optimal patient care through friendly and professional interactions with patients and team members.
  • Answer incoming calls, welcome patients and visitors, and provide exemplary customer service for inquiries or concerns.
  • Facilitate a thorough and accurate intake of information during the patient's initial visit.
  • Register new patients in accordance with clinic standards and assist them in completing medical forms to prevent errors.
  • Utilize electronic medical records to coordinate and schedule future appointments as directed.
  • Ensure optimal patient care by recommending additional services or products that align with the patient's best interests.
  • Collect payments at the time of service and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Complete accurate billing and manage accounts receivable as necessary.
  • Generate precise end-of-day reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and achieve functional goals.
  • Collect outcome measure data.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment.
  • Manage inventory of clinical supplies.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as requested by the clinic director.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and staff.
  • Strong judgment, resourcefulness, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to investigate, comprehend, and resolve billing and collection issues from various funding sources.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptability to changes in clinic operations and a commitment to continuous learning for improved patient care.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in managing bookings and billing for various patient types is advantageous.
