Position Overview

We are seeking a Chemical Operator for our operations. This full-time role involves rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills in the chemical manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate chemical processes, including batch reactors, blending vessels, and storage tanks, both manually and through computerized control systems.
  • Conduct raw material additions, manage material transfers, and collect process samples.
  • Handle loading and unloading of bulk tank trailers and railcars.
  • Execute packaging operations, including unloading drum trailers and palletizing products.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including log sheets and checklists, and input data into the SAP system.
  • Perform janitorial tasks and general labor as directed, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring tasks are performed safely and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree, technical school certification, honorable military discharge, or relevant experience in chemical operations or manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, share responsibilities, and assist in training fellow employees.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including drug screening and background checks.
