Role Overview
The Collision Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in managing collision service inquiries within AutoNation Dealerships that do not have an in-house collision repair facility. This position involves preparing courtesy estimates, coordinating repair requirements for dealership staff, and keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare professional estimates for lightly damaged vehicles.
  • Proactively engage customers to secure sales on all estimates.
  • Understand the fundamental aspects of insurance programs, including DRP and non-DRP.
  • Obtain necessary signatures, work authorizations, and powers of attorney.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding the vehicle repair process, adhering to AutoNation's Customer Repair 10 Step Process.
  • Review all final bills, supplements, and vehicles before contacting customers for delivery.
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure quality and thoroughness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Safeguard customer vehicles throughout the repair process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during daily planning and release meetings.
  • Monitor production schedules for vehicles and communicate targets with customers and team members.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with customers, insurance representatives, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Engage in ongoing industry education to stay updated on repair requirements and product knowledge.
  • Manage the collection of Accounts Receivable for all insurance and wholesale accounts.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle repair practices.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Capability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders.
  • Ability to operate an automobile.
