Position Responsibilities:

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance as per dealership and factory standards. This position also involves overseeing apprentice technicians.

  • Receive and manage repair orders from the dispatcher.
  • Execute tasks outlined in repair orders with precision and efficiency.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure required components.
  • Tag and save parts for warranty jobs or customer requests.
  • Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding unnecessary repairs.
  • Document all work performed accurately.
  • Conduct road tests when necessary, ensuring customer vehicles are not used for personal errands.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentice technicians.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions.
  • Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles.
  • Keep the workshop organized and account for all dealership tools.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
  • Follow all safety policies and report any incidents immediately.

Qualifications:

  • High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is essential.
  • ASE certification or equivalent training is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong manual dexterity and good judgment.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings including background checks and drug tests.
