Job Responsibilities

As a Sales Executive - Employee Benefits, you will work directly with clients, account managers, company underwriters, and claims representatives to grow your book of business and sell employee benefits products. You will be a member of a growing agency with a focus on client relations, service, and teamwork.

Key Duties
  • Outside new business sales solicitation to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Meet mutually established activity or sales goals to drive growth and revenue.
  • Provide accurate quotes based on complete information to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain prospect logs in our pipeline system and review periodically with your manager as necessary.
  • Retain and service existing accounts, maintaining direct communications with each client as needed to retain and service those clients.
  • Adhere to agency collections and other policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Attend appropriate and applicable continuing education courses as needed to maintain position knowledge and licensing.
  • Maintain quality relationships with insurance companies with which we do business.
  • Maintain quality relationships with coworkers to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your manager or leadership team.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of employee benefits sales experience preferred.
  • 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
  • Strong sales aptitude required, with a disciplined, well-organized, and self-motivated approach.
  • Willingness to make prospecting calls and network to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with strong reading comprehension and analysis skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
