Overview

The Plant Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the comprehensive operations of the facility, managing everything from the procurement of raw materials to the distribution of finished products. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and includes direct supervision of two Department Managers. The role is designed for professional growth, with the expectation that the individual will be prepared for the Plant Manager position within a two-year timeframe. Relocation to another facility within the Southwest Beverages Operating Unit may be necessary upon eligibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations within the manufacturing environment, performing routine process evaluations and making necessary adjustments to equipment or work practices in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Formulate and implement business strategies that align with manufacturing objectives, enhancing productive capabilities to ensure customer satisfaction while achieving operational cost targets.
  • Initiate and develop programs aimed at meeting manufacturing, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ensure overall product and packaging quality, adhering to all standards and specifications that support the Coca-Cola Quality system.
  • Establish initiatives to meet quality, safety, product availability, efficiency, and financial Key Business Indicators.
  • Enhance process and operational consistency to manage and reduce labor costs and OPEX budget.
  • Inspire, guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing, diverse team to achieve set goals and strengthen organizational capabilities. Recruit, train, and develop team members to excel.
  • Maintain a consistent, long-term vision through ongoing process improvements while fostering a culture that values operational excellence.
  • Exhibit behaviors necessary for effective change management.
  • Proactively promote Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales and planning teams for accurate forecasting of new business opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, Sales & Distribution) to direct compliance matters to the appropriate channels for investigation and resolution. Consult with other functions as needed to address complex issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate the complexities of leading a diverse workforce; actively participate in and support Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, holding oneself and others accountable.
  • Engage in project work and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of two department manager roles in various supply chain functions.
  • Experience in food, beverage, or high-speed packaging environments.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting with a focus on P&L.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma is strongly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential.
