We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at The Rose Gaming Resort. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees, while also maintaining a positive and professional image of our resort.
Key Responsibilities- Security and Safety: Patrol the casino and hotel premises to prevent and detect any security breaches or incidents, and respond promptly to any emergencies or alarms.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Incident Reporting: Record and report all incidents and security breaches in a timely and accurate manner, following established procedures and protocols.
- Access Control: Control and monitor access to restricted areas, including the video lottery facility, and ensure that all guests and employees have the necessary clearance and authorization.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, and other incidents, and provide assistance and support as needed.
- Training and Development: Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, and stay up-to-date with the latest security protocols and procedures.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in a security or law enforcement role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-100 pounds.
- Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license, and Virginia Racing Commission License.
The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to noise, crowds, and other distractions. The employee will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and climb stairs, and may be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.
