Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Department of Justice as a Legal Secretary. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and professional staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and edit legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and other correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including case files and court documents.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule appointments for attorneys and staff.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and events, such as court hearings and trials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
